Taking place upon & within the spatial limit-text of an imagined Farallon Islands, Island presents the quest of a man who follows another but is fated to encounter only himself. K-zones, the doubled self, eroticism, crime, and the transparency of darkness are explored through Kitchell's edge-play of form, language, and narrative. Island is the central book in a privately released trilogy (paired with Dim Dead Boy—a photobook, and Limitlessness—a minimalist poem, both never publicly available), which explores themes and tangents begun in Forest Wound.

Privately published by Void Editions in a spiral-bound, two-color edition of 50, 2016
